Volotea inaugurates the Alghero-Florence route

The new flight operates twice a week, every Wednesday and Sunday. The number of destinations from Alghero rises to 5: Bordeaux, Florence, Paris, Turin and Verona

A few days after the launch of the connection to Bordeaux, Volotea further expands its offer to Alghero by inaugurating a new exclusive route to Florence. The first flight, which departed on Sunday 6 July, operates twice a week, every Wednesday and Sunday, for a total of over 5,000 seats available.

The new route is designed to strengthen incoming tourism in Northern Sardinia, offering Tuscan travelers direct access to a destination rich in nature, sea and cultural heritage. At the same time, it allows passengers departing from Alghero to easily reach one of Tuscany's most beloved cities of art, expanding travel options both for tourism and for personal or professional reasons.

With this opening, Volotea consolidates its strategic role in the development of Alghero airport and in the enhancement of the territory. For summer 2025, the company connects the Sardinian airport with 5 destinations: 3 in Italy – Florence (new in 2025), Turin and Verona – and 2 in France – Paris (Orly) and Bordeaux, both new for the season.
