New Lamezia Terme-Bratislava flight by Wizz Air
Wizz Air, together with Sacal, the management company of Lamezia Terme Airport, has inaugurated the first direct flight to Bratislava, marking the carrier's return to Calabria after a two-year absence.
The flight operated with a modern Airbus A321neo, kicks off a twice-weekly connection, departing every Monday and Friday,
Located along the banks of the Danube, Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is a city with authentic charm that combines history, culture and modernity. Its pedestrianised Old Town, with cobbled alleys and picturesque squares, is located at the foot of the iconic Bratislava Castle, from which panoramic views of the river and the city can be enjoyed.
New Wizz Air routes from Lamezia Terme
The expansion of the network will continue in 2026 with two new international routes:
Lamezia Terme – Sofia: operational from 31 March 2026, with two weekly flights (Tuesday and Saturday).
Lamezia Terme – Katowice: operational from 31 March 2026, with three weekly frequencies (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday).
Wizz Air's return to Lamezia Terme Airport to its new destinations (Bratislava and, from 2026, Sofia and Katowice) opens the door to key markets for the Calabria region.
