AnimaWings flies to Olbia from Romania
AnimaWings inaugurates the new direct flights to Olbia from Romania, strengthening its summer offer to Italy. From 2 June 2026, the Romanian airline connects Cluj (Napoca Airport) and Timișoara with northern Sardinia, with a weekly frequency every Tuesday and a seasonal operation scheduled until October 2026.
The new route allows passengers departing from Transylvania and Banat to reach Olbia non-stop , with an average flight time of about 2 hours and 20 minutes. The connection responds to the growing demand for direct travel to quality leisure destinations and expands the possibilities of access to Sardinia for the Romanian market.
Olbia is one of the main gateways to the island and is the ideal starting point to reach the Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo and the most famous seaside resorts of northern Sardinia. For Travellers, the new flight offers a faster and more direct connection to a particularly popular summer destination, avoiding connections in other European hubs.
Flights to Olbia Costa Smeralda airport are operated with Airbus A220-300 aircraft, recently added to the company's fleet, configured with 148 seats in economy class. Economy Class and Premium Economy travel options are available on board, with services designed to offer more flexibility to passengers.
All tickets include free seat selection, one carry-on bag, one personal item, and free check-in online or at the airport. Passengers can also purchase additional services, including hot onboard catering, drinks, snacks, and all-inclusive packages.
