Two awards for Emirates at the 2026 APEX Awards

The Dubai-based airline wins the "Best Global Entertainment" award for the ICE system and the "World Class" award for the sixth consecutive year, confirming the excellence of the travel experience
Emirates has won two of the world's most prestigious awards at the APEX/IFSA Global EXPO in Long Beach, California. The airline won the APEX Best™ Global Entertainment Award 2026 for its ice in-flight entertainment system and, for the sixth consecutive year, the APEX WORLD CLASS™ 2026 award, which certifies the overall quality of the passenger experience and the brand.

Ice, the "library of the sky"

Chosen by more than one million verified passengers from a shortlist of 600 carriers, Emirates topped the entertainment category with ice, considered the largest in-flight media library: 6,500 channels with 2,000 films, 650 TV shows, 4,000 hours of music, podcasts and audiobooks in 40 languages, as well as 5 live channels for sports and news. Partners include HBO Max, Disney+, Paramount+, BBC, Bloomberg Originals, Discovery+ and Spotify.

The offer will be further enhanced with the arrival of 50 new Airbus A350s, which will integrate Thales' AVANT Up system, a $350 million investment: Optiq 4K QLED HDR screens, intuitive interfaces, increased content capacity and advanced connectivity will take in-flight entertainment to an even higher level.

Global excellence confirmed

The APEX WORLD CLASS™ 2026 recognition reaffirms Emirates' position as the benchmark airline for safety, sustainability, hospitality, personalisation, dining and connectivity. A result verified by industry experts on real flights.
