New benefits for Iberia and LATAM frequent flyers
In 2026, the strategic partnership between Iberia and LATAM Airlines Group will be consolidated, with an expansion of the agreement dedicated to the Iberia Club and LATAM Pass frequent flyer programs. The agreement introduces mutual recognition of benefits for members of both programs, with the aim of offering a smoother, more consistent and premium travel experience on routes between Europe and South America.
This is a natural evolution of the collaboration started in 2016, which now enters a new phase focused on enhancing loyal customers and increasing exclusive benefits for those who regularly fly between the two continents.
New benefits for Iberia Club and LATAM Pass members
From 2026, passengers flying with the Iberia Group and LATAM – including their respective affiliates – will be able to benefit from privileges similar to those already granted when travelling with their reference airline, depending on their membership level in the loyalty programme.
Benefits include:
✔ Priority at all stages of the journey
From check-in to boarding, to baggage reclaim, members will be able to take advantage of preferential lanes and priority services, in compliance with local regulations applicable in different countries.
✔ Lounge access and increased comfort
Customers with status in the Iberia Club or LATAM Pass programs will have access to airport lounges and will be able to select a seat at no additional cost, improving the experience on both long-haul flights and regional routes operated by the two airlines.
✔ More flexibility with baggage
The recognition of the extra baggage allowed is provided, regardless of the operating company, a particularly relevant advantage for those traveling between Europe and South America for business reasons or long-term stays.
✔ Earning points and Elite benefits
The agreement also introduces a system of enhanced accumulation:
- LATAM Pass members will continue to earn qualifying miles and points on Iberia flights.
- Iberia Club members will be able to collect Avios and Elite points when travelling with LATAM.
This dual accumulation mechanism is a strategic element for frequent flyers who wish to maintain or improve their status, especially on transcontinental routes.
The agreement has a significant scope in terms of numbers: LATAM Pass has over 53 million members worldwide, while Iberia Club is one of the reference frequent flyer programs in the European and Iberian markets.
For Italian travellers and for those flying from European hubs to the main destinations in South America – from Buenos Aires to Santiago de Chile, from São Paulo to Lima – this evolution translates into a more integrated experience, with premium services also recognised by operating with different airlines within the alliance.
