Lufthansa takes off from Frankfurt with the A350
Lufthansa is expanding its long-haul flight offer from Frankfurt Airport, its hub, with the introduction of the Airbus A350-900, one of the most modern and efficient aircraft on the road today. Starting from the summer program, four A350s have already been deployed from Frankfurt, to which two more will be added in May and July.
These aircraft currently operate on the routes from Frankfurt to Seoul and Shanghai, active from March 30, while from May 1 they will enter service on the route to Denver and, from July 1, on the route to Seattle. The initiative is part of a temporary strategy to deal with delays in deliveries of new long-haul aircraft.
The arrival of the new aircraft is expected in the coming months. Lufthansa has in fact launched the largest fleet renewal plan in its history: by the end of 2027, the company plans to enter the fleet of 61 new long-haul aircraft, with an average of one new aircraft every two weeks. An ambitious investment to strengthen the company's competitiveness and respond to the growing demand for intercontinental flights with increasingly higher standards.
