LOT Polish Airlines celebrates 60 years of the Milan-Warsaw route

LOT Polish Airlines, a member of Star Alliance and a partner of Miles & More, is celebrating 60 years of connections between Milan and Warsaw. The first flight between the two cities took off on May 2, 1966 and today the company operates this route with two daily frequencies to and from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP).

From Milan Malpensa, flight LO318 departs at 10:30 and arrives in Warsaw at 12:40, while flight LO320 departs at 19:40 and arrives at 21:50.

 

Flights are operated with Embraer aircraft, configured with Business Class and Economy Class.

In fact, for those traveling from Milan, the double daily connection offers not only a greater choice of schedules, but also the possibility of organizing connections more easily via Warsaw Chopin (WAW), the company's international hub. Passengers can continue their journey to numerous destinations in the LOT network. 

• In the 2026 summer timetable, for example, departing from Milan Malpensa at 19:40, you reach Astana at 08:25 local time the following day, with a total travel time of 9 hours and 45 minutes. On the same evening departure, Almaty is reached at 08:00 local time the following day, with a total time of 9 hours and 20 minutes. For Riga, the arrival is scheduled at 01:40 local time the next day, after 5 hours of travel, while for Tbilisi it arrives at 04:25 local time the next day, with a total time of 6 hours and 45 minutes.
• With the morning departure from Milan at 10:30 am, it is possible to reach Krakow at 2:15 pm local time, with a total time of 3 hours and 45 minutes. Also with the same flight from Malpensa, LOT also indicates the connection to San Francisco, arriving at 20:15 local time and a total travel time of 18 hours and 45 minutes.

Over the past 25 years, the airline has operated more than 44,000 flights on this route, covering almost 50.6 million kilometers in more than 80,000 flight hours and carrying more than 2.2 million passengers.
