Ita Airways: official carrier of the 2025 Jubilee
Facilities for pilgrims and collaboration with the Holy See for Jubilee events
Ita Airways will be the official carrier of the 2025 Jubilee, the world-class event that will begin on 24 December 2024 with the opening of the Holy Door in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. The airline has signed an agreement with the Dicastery for Evangelization, represented by Mons. Rino Fisichella and Antonino Turicchi, president of Ita Airways.
The agreement provides discounts on airline tickets for Pilgrim's Card holders enrolled in Ita Airways' "Volare" loyalty program, as well as special offers for groups. Ita Airways will also be a partner of jubilee events such as the Jubilee of Sport, Adolescents, Youth, People with Disabilities and Workers.
Antonino Turicchi, president of Ita Airways, said: "This agreement consolidates Ita Airways' role as a reference point for connectivity in Italy, promoting tourism to Rome and the rest of the country during the Jubilee."
Monsignor Rino Fisichella added: "The agreement with Ita Airways will facilitate the arrival of numerous pilgrims in Rome to experience the Holy Year, a gesture of great attention to the millions of visitors expected."
Ita Airways operates in 53 destinations with a fleet of 100 aircraft, offering an optimized network and quality services, including the possibility of intermodal train-air travel with Trenitalia.
