Etihad reconfirmed five-star airline by APEX for 2026

Etihad Airways remains one of the world's top airlines, being recognised as a Five-Star Global Airline by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) by 2026. An award of the highest prestige, which is based solely on the evaluations expressed by travelers.

The official announcement was made during the APEX/IFSA Awards ceremony held as part of the APEX/IFSA Global EXPO in Long Beach, California. For the 2026 edition, almost one million flights operated by around 600 airlines around the world were analysed, with ratings expressed on a five-star scale and certified by an independent auditing body.

This new milestone comes as Etihad continues to expand its network and elevate the travel experience across all cabins, from its exclusive three-room suite The Residence, through to First Class, Business Class and Economy.

Among the innovations that confirm the carrier's leadership, the introduction of the Airbus A321LR stands out, an aircraft that is redefining the standards of single-aisle flights thanks to the comfort typical of wide-bodies and the latest generation equipment. The new fleet offers First Suites with sliding doors for maximum privacy, flat-bed Business seats all with window views, as well as a new generation Economy with 4K touch screens.

The A321LR is also equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, ensuring constant connectivity throughout the journey. Combined with Etihad's renowned personalised service and award-winning in-flight entertainment, this aircraft ensures a five-star flight experience on both intercontinental and regional routes.
