Etihad Airways unveils new Airbus A321LR with First Class suite at Dubai Airshow
Etihad Airways chooses the stage of the Dubai Airshow to present its brand new Airbus A321LR, protagonist in the static exhibition area. It is the only narrow-body aircraft in the region to offer private First Class suites, combining long range, fuel efficiency and a long-haul on-board experience on short and medium-haul routes.
With its extensive operational capacity, the A321LR connects the Abu Dhabi hub to destinations such as Chiang Mai, Düsseldorf, Krabi, Phnom Penh, Phuket, Tunis and Zurich, responding to the demand for premium comfort on the routes most requested by leisure and business traffic.
Inside, the aircraft offers a configuration designed to maximize space and privacy:
- 2 First Class Suites with sliding doors;
- 14 Business Studios fully reclining and facing forward;
- 144 seats in Economy, of which 36 Extra Legroom.
In the First Suite, passengers can close the door for maximum privacy, stretch out on a fully flat bed with a mattress and duvet made of natural materials, and enjoy a 20-inch 4K screen with Bluetooth audio. The Giorgio Armani co-branded courtesy kit, dedicated lounge clothing, ESPA skincare products and turndown service complete a First Class experience designed for the most demanding Travellers.
In Business, the A321LR offers fully flat beds up to 77.5 inches in length, direct aisle access for each seat, and a 17.3-inch 4K monitor with noise-canceling headphones and Bluetooth connectivity. Wireless charging, PC power outlets and high-speed Wi-Fi are available on board, as well as a selection of drinks and an à la carte menu.
The Economy Extra Legroom offers a 34-inch pitch, 18-inch-wide seats, four-way adjustable headrests, and up to 5 inches of recline, while the overall Economy cabin offers a pitch of between 30 and 34 inches, extra-large overhead bins for carry-on luggage, and 13.3-inch 4K personal screens with Bluetooth and high-speed Wi-Fi. On all seats there is a food service with up to three choices for the main course and a second service on longer flights.
For this year's edition, Etihad is also expanding its presence at the show with the Etihad Pavilion, where visitors can discover and try out the company's new seats, latest in-flight experience solutions and luxury amenities. Inside the pavilion there is also Etihad Aviation Training, which illustrates the latest innovations in aviation training and provides a flight simulator to allow visitors to experience the cockpit first-hand.
Completing Etihad's participation in the Dubai Airshow is the airline's Airbus A380, engaged in the inaugural flyby that celebrates the opening of the event, one of the most anticipated moments of the entire exhibition week.
