Emirates renews Premium Economy on A350s
Emirates is introducing a new generation of Premium Economy seats on the new Airbus A350s, with the aim of increasing comfort, privacy and control of personal space during travel.
The Premium Economy cabin of the A350s is configured 2-3-2 with 28 seats. The seats are 20 inches wide and offer a pitch of up to 39 inches. The main novelty is the full-height electrically adjustable divider between the seats, which the passenger can raise, lower and lock in the desired position to create a more private space during rest, work or meals.
Other comfort elements include the U-Dream headrest by Safran Seats, redesigned to offer greater support for the head and neck, and a leather footrest with manual opening.
Wireless charging also arrives for the first time in Emirates Premium Economy, flanked by a USB-C socket and a tray with integrated smartphone holder. Each seat also has a 13.3-inch 4K HDR touchscreen for the ice entertainment system.
On the new A350s, the views offered by the external cameras are also expanded: in addition to the front and downward images, there are also those on the left and right sides of the aircraft.
The Premium Economy experience continues to include Business Class-inspired dining, with dedicated menus, Royal Doulton porcelain, Robert Welch cutlery and a selection of wines and sparkling wines. Long-haul flights also feature reusable amenity kits, made from more sustainable materials and enhanced with Aveda skincare products for the first time in this cabin.
