Delta inaugurates Rome-Minneapolis route

New four-times-a-week flight and the carrier's fifth destination from Fiumicino to the U.S. after New York JFK, Atlanta, Boston and Detroit with connections to more than 100 destinations in North America

On May 24, Delta Air Lines has operated the new nonstop service from Rome Fiumicino to Minneapolis/St. Paul, operating four times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Rome; Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Minneapolis). The connection is available throughout the summer season and joins Delta's active flights from Rome to New York-JFK, Atlanta, Boston and Detroit.

The flight is operated with a 282-seat Airbus A330-300 , configured with Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin classes. In Delta One, customers can enjoy lie-flat seats, signature chef-led menus and Taittinger champagne, as well as an exclusive Missoni amenity kit. Cabins also offer Delta Studio entertainment with over 1,000 hours of content, and free high-speed Wi-Fi provided by T-Mobile on all transatlantic routes.

The Rome Fiumicino - Minneapolis flight also allows for easy onward travel to the rest of the U.S. and beyond, thanks to Minneapolis/St. Paul's strategic role as a Delta hub.

Delta also continues to invest in ground services, with new Delta One Lounges already operating in New York, Boston and Seattle, with more to come.

Delta strengthens its presence in Italy and increases the number of routes operated from Rome to the United States to five in summer 2025, in a network that includes up to 110 weekly flights between Italy and the USA, also serving Catania, Milan, Naples and Venice.
