The service between Belgrade and Rome was inaugurated on June 15, 1956 by the Yugoslav company JAT, predecessor of the current Air Serbia.

Since then, the connection has allowed tourists, business travellers and passengers visiting family and friends to travel directly between the two capitals.

The route with Milan has also been one of the main connections between the two countries for seventy years, promoting economic, cultural and tourist relations.

Today the company connects Belgrade with ten Italian destinations: Alghero, Bari, Bologna, Catania, Florence, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Rome and Venice. This presence allows passengers to reach the Serbian capital directly from different areas of Italy.

Air Serbia intends to continue to develop its network and improve services for the Italian market, further consolidating connections between Italy and Serbia.
