flydubai strengthens its network in Italy
Flydubai strengthens its presence on the Italian market by increasing the frequency of flights from Naples and Milan Bergamo, confirming Italy among the strategic markets for the development of its European network.
The Dubai-based airline has in fact increased the connections between Dubai and Naplesto one daily flight and will increase flights from Milan Bergamo to two daily frequencies from 31 July, further expanding the connection opportunities between Italy, the United Arab Emirates and the numerous destinations served through its Hub at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
Flights from Salerno during Naples airport maintenance
One of the main changes concerns the operations scheduled for the autumn period. Due to the planned maintenance works at Naples International Airport, flydubai will temporarily relocate its connections to Salerno Costa d'Amalfi and Cilento Airport.
From 1 to 30 November 2026, all daily flights will be operated between Dubai and Salerno, and then return regularly to Naples from 1 December 2026. Passengers already booked on flights to Naples will be automatically reprotected on connections from Salerno, thus ensuring continuity of service without interruption.
More connections with Italy
With the increase in frequencies, flydubai's Italian network will include:
- Milan Bergamo: two flights a day;
- Naples: one daily flight;
- Catania: three weekly frequencies;
Olbia: twice-weekly seasonal connections until the end of August.
The aim is to respond to the growing demand for travel expected for the winter season and further strengthen connectivity between Italy and the Middle East.
Dubai more and more hub towards Africa, Asia and the Indian Ocean
Through the codeshare with Emirates, passengers can enjoy a single ticket, baggage transfer to their final destination and an extensive network of connections via Dubai.
Destinations within easy connections include Kenya, Oman, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Zanzibar and numerous other destinations served by the combined network of the two companies.
The international network grows
The expansion of frequencies in Italy is part of flydubai's broader growth strategy. In recent months, the company has inaugurated new connections to Aleppo, Bangkok and Benghazi and from 23 September 2026 it will also launch direct flights to Pokhara, Nepal, further expanding its international network.
