Air Dolomiti renews its fleet with the Embraer E195

13 new aircraft to arrive by 2028: more seats, greater efficiency and strengthened connections between Italy and Lufthansa hubs

Air Dolomiti, a Lufthansa Group company, is starting a new phase of development with the entry into the fleet of the first two Embraer E195s. The first aircraft, delivered in December, is already operational, while the second, which arrived on March 16, will enter service in the coming weeks.

The introduction of the E195 is part of a renewal plan that will run until 2028 and includes the arrival of a total of 13 aircraft of this model. The new jets will progressively replace nine 108-seat Embraer E190s currently in the fleet, allowing the airline to increase capacity and improve operational efficiency.

When fully operational, the Air Dolomiti fleet will increase from 28 to 30 aircraft, offering passengers greater availability of seats on flights between Italy and the main hubs of the Lufthansa Group, with high standards in terms of comfort and reliability.

For travellers, the fleet renewal translates into a more modern flight experience and a greater choice of connections, especially on strategic routes to Germany and Europe. An investment that accompanies the growth of the company, just as it approaches the milestone of 35 years of activity, which began in 1991 with the first flights between Trieste and Genoa.
