Changi Airport Lights Up Disney Magic
Singapore is preparing for the most glittering season of the year with an initiative that combines travel, entertainment and retail in a single immersive experience. Changi Airport and Jewel Changi Airport launch "The Magic of Adventure", a spectacular project created in collaboration with Disney Cruise Line, designed to amaze both passengers in transit and visitors who choose the airport as an entertainment destination. From the Jewel shopping center to the departure terminals, each area is transformed into an experiential itinerary in which the worlds of Disney, Pixar and Marvel come to life through scenographies, technological shows and new shopping proposals.
Rain Vortex: the light show that enchants travellers
At the heart of the initiative is the iconic HSBC Rain Vortex, the world's tallest indoor waterfall, which every evening becomes the stage for the new light and music show "The Magic of Adventure".
A 3.5-minute performance, designed with advanced visual effects, which celebrates some of the most beloved characters in the Disney world (from Pixar adventures to Marvel superheroes) transforming Jewel into an attraction capable of attracting tourists from all over Asia.
Terminal 3: a 6.5-meter-high Disney ship and four themed photo sets
In Terminal 3, visitors will find a spectacular installation in the shape of a 6.5-meter Disney ship , inspired by the future Disney Adventure that will enter service in Asian waters.
Next to the large ship, four themed photographic areas reproduce as many iconic environments:
- Disney Imagination Garden: a creative garden populated by refined scenic details;
- Town Square: a festive square that recalls the atmosphere of Disney villages;
- Marvel Landing: a space dedicated to superhero fans;
- Captain Mickey Cabin: the cabin of the famous captain, perfect for a shot to share on social media.
Disney Discovery Reef: an underwater world between Nemo and Ariel
On level B2 of Terminal 3, the Disney Discovery Reef welcomes young and old alike with an immersive set inspired by the aquatic worlds of The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo.
A sensory journey made up of lights, sound effects and marine settings designed to offer an interactive experience, ideal for families on the go.
Between shopping, interactive activities and promotions: the party continues
In addition to the facilities, the airport offers numerous festive activities:
- creative workshops and "DIY" moments for the little ones;
- carnival-style games;
- snow show in the Departure Hall;
- exclusive promotions in the airport and Jewel stores, with limited edition Disney products;
- opportunity to participate in lucky draws with prizes related to Disney stays and cruises.
Thanks to the integration with the iShopChangi e-commerce platform, Travellers can also access exclusive products and anticipate their duty-free purchases.
A new idea of the airport as a tourist destination
Singapore airport thus confirms its vocation as an airport-experience, capable of attracting visitors not only on departure but also as an entertainment hub. The initiative, which runs until January 4, 2026, reinforces the complex's role as one of Southeast Asia's most iconic holiday destinations.
