Warsaw Modlin expands its food & retail offering with Lagardère Travel Retail
Warsaw Modlin Airport expands its commercial and catering offer to accompany the strong growth in passenger traffic. Lagardère Travel Retail has created almost 700 square meters of new space within the terminal expansion, introducing two new points of sale: Costa Coffee and 1Minute Smacznego!.
The new area represents almost half of the approximately 1,500 square meters added to the terminal and will offer a total of 200 seats. The premises will follow the airport's operating hours, from the first to the last Ryanair flight of the day.
Costa Coffee will offer coffee, desserts, wraps, sandwiches and salads, while 1Minute Smacznego! will offer freshly prepared snacks, quick dishes, convenience products and travel items.
With the new openings, Lagardère Travel Retail will come to manage 13 food and retail outlets in Warsaw Modlin. The operator expects that the expansion, together with the increase in traffic, could lead to a growth in commercial revenues of around 18% in 2026 compared to the previous year.
The investment responds to the rapid growth of the Polish airport: in May 2026, passenger traffic increased by more than 160% year-on-year, while in the first months of the year Warsaw Modlin had already handled almost 1.5 million Travellers.
