New World Duty Free at Edinburgh Airport
The renovated store offers more space, focus on Scotch whiskies and gins, luxury brands and immersive digital technologies
Avolta AG has officially opened the revamped World Duty Free store at Edinburgh Airport, expanding the shopping area by 30%, totalling 1,740 sqm. The new space offers a range of unique experiences, including a large World of Whiskies area, with customisations for world-renowned Scottish brands such as Glenmorangie and Johnnie Walker or tastings at dedicated bars.
Among the most important new features is the Edinburgh Gin Boutique, inspired by the city's distillery, which allows customers to discover and buy exclusive expressions, including "The Meadows", a specialty inspired by Edinburgh's parks.
The beauty area has been expanded, with the introduction of new brands such as Charlotte Tilbury and Kylie, as well as digital technologies that allow customers to virtually try on products. A wellness area has been added to meet the growing demand for natural and ecological products.
Finally, the luxury area has been enhanced, with an increased display of jewelry, watches and accessories, along with spaces dedicated to the iconic brands Ray-Ban and Oakley. Completing the offer, a standalone Haute Parfumerie store, which offers niche and luxury fragrances, taking the shopping experience to a more personalized and engaging level.
