Those pages become the access point to a more archaic time, in which the human being does not perceive himself as separate from nature and the universe, but part of a single breath.
From here the journey of the Soul Hunters takes shape, men and women capable of crossing the invisible, entering wounds and bringing to light what seemed lost. However, the journey does not only concern the protagonists: the reader is also involved through seven thresholds and seven rituals, conceived as as many initiatory passages.
The myth thus becomes the true architecture of the novel. Through images, stories and symbols, the book addresses universal experiences such as fear, anger, loss, failure and guilt, transforming them into opportunities for awareness and change.
In the novel, the Caucasian highlands alternate with contemporary cities, connecting apparently distant worlds. It is precisely in this space between ancient and modern that the boundaries between visible and invisible, between concrete experience and symbolic dimension, between individual and nature, begin to dissolve.
In the course of the narrative, pain is also observed from a different perspective. The stories become moments of meditation and confrontation with one's inner self, while the rituals evoked suggest the possibility of attributing a new meaning to what has left a wound, a loss or a lack.
"Hunters of souls" therefore moves on several levels: adventure novel, initiatory story and meditation text. Selene Calloni Williams uses myth as a language capable of speaking to the psyche through images and archetypes, bringing the relationship between human beings, nature and the world back to the center.
