La Esmeralda Tourbillon "A Secret" Eternity Edition
On the occasion of the Chinese New Year, which celebrates the Year of the Horse, Girard-Perregaux pays homage to one of the most emblematic models in its collection: the Esmeralda Tourbillon "A Secret" Eternity Edition. This exceptional timepiece powerfully expresses the technical and aesthetic savoir-faire of the Manufacture and at the same time celebrates a noble and symbolic animal: the horse, which has always been closely associated with La Esmeralda.
An emblem of inner power and controlled momentum, the horse reflects Girard-Perregaux's measured approach to progress and precision. The Esmeralda Tourbillon "A Secret" Eternity Edition is housed in a 43 mm rose gold case. Inside, the famous Three Gold Bridges stand out, made in the same shade, while the dial is distinguished by an intense Grand Feu red.
The case, lugs, bezel and buckle are finely engraved and pay homage to the historic pocket watch from 1889, recalling its decorative codes. The dial is animated by a combination of sunray and circular guilloché motifs, handcrafted with a traditional rosette lathe, according to the artisanal techniques of Swiss Haute Horlogerie.
At the heart of the watch beats the Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges, the Manufacture caliber GP09600. Equipped with a discreet white gold micro-rotor, positioned under the barrel, the movement guarantees the practicality of automatic winding. The gilded engravings recall the patent filed in 1884 for the Tourbillon movement with Three Bridges.
The GP09600 caliber is embellished with a rich variety of refined finishes, perpetuating the Maison's reputation for creating the highest expressions of the art of watchmaking.
With its deep, auspicious red hue, the Esmeralda Tourbillon "A Secret" Eternity Edition embodies the fiery spirit of the Year of the Horse, combining indomitable passion, technical mastery and tradition in a timepiece intended for the most discerning collectors.
