Gravity Equal Force Salmon, the new timepiece by Armin Strom
Armin Strom unveils a new version of his famous micro-rotor movement: the Gravity Equal Force Ultimate Sapphire Salmon, defined by the elegant salmon-toned main plate, obtained by PVD coating and embellished with a refined guilloché workmanship created in collaboration with the independent master Kari Voutilainen.
The timepiece, housed in a 41 mm steel case and accompanied by a matching grey nubuck strap, introduces a contemporary aesthetic that dialogues with the stylistic codes of the System 78 collection, dedicated to the Maison's independent spirit and cutting-edge mechanical research.
At the heart of the watch is the ASB19 calibre, the first movement in the world to combine a side micro-rotor with a stop-work declutch mechanism integrated into the barrel. This patented technical solution guarantees a constant supply of energy throughout the 72-hour power reserve, significantly improving isochronism and chronometric precision. The open structure of the movement, visible both on the front thanks to the sapphire crystal dial and on the caseback, reveals a balanced mechanism that combines efficiency, lightness and transparency.
As in every Armin Strom creation, manual finishing is a central element. Hand-polished and chamfered bridges, mirror screws, perlage decorations and côtes de Genève testify to the level of craftsmanship achieved by the manufacture in Biel/Bienne in the canton of Bern.
The salmon plate adds further visual depth, while the fully transparent dial focuses attention on the mechanics, making it the real protagonist. Each piece is also assembled twice, according to the Maison's tradition, to ensure impeccable quality in every detail.
The Gravity Equal Force Ultimate Sapphire Salmon is available in 25 units per year, reaffirming the Armin Strom philosophy of technical innovation, essential aesthetics and mechanical transparency. A new expression of independent watchmaking, combining engineering precision and craftsmanship in a new and sophisticated shade.
