The exclusive Balenciaga Couture eyewear

First unveiled during the Couture Collection presentation in Paris, they revisit tradition starting with classic sunglasses but embellished in precious materials

For the first time in history, eyewear is part of the Balenciaga Couture collection, starting with classic sunglasses recast in precious materials. REGATA frames are solid, die-cast 18k gold. The HRH – short for “his/her royal highness” – is a sporty, wraparound style in galvanic 18k gold or palladium-plated milled aluminum.

REGATA and HRH lenses are made of mirror-coated bio-nylon, treated with real gold or platinum. The BLACKOUT line features extra dark-tinted mineral glass lenses in acetate made from wood pulp cellulose and landfill-bound material, finished with 18k gold-plated temples.

Following the 52nd Couture Collection presentation that took place at 10 Avenue George V, Paris on July 5th, 2023, a selection of pieces from the show is available in the Couture Store located at the same address and via couture.balenciaga.com - a turning point in the history of the House in terms of access.
