Porsche expands the personalization options of the Cayenne Electric
Porsche is expanding the customisation options of the Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Coupé Electric with the new model year. The innovations concern both aesthetics and comfort and introduce new technical solutions to the configurator, including electrically operated doors, wireless charging, seats with massage and 4D audio and a colour range of up to 105 shades in total.
105 colors with the Paint to Sample program
The Cayenne Electric joins Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur's Paint to Sample programme. In addition to the 13 colours already available in the categories Contrasts, Shades, Dreams and Legends, more than 90 shades are added, bringing the total to 105 colour options. The expansion affects both bodies and significantly increases the possibilities for individual model configuration.
The interior also receives new elements. An Extended Interior Style Package is added to the already available Interior Style Package, with additional leather surfaces and decorative stitching in Verde Delgada. Other options include the center console upholstered in leather and Race-Tex and interior door sills in Race-Tex with colored stitching.
Automatic electric doors
The electrically operated door system makes its debut among the options. A slight movement of the handle activates automatic opening or closing, which can also be controlled from the interior controls, the Flow Display of Porsche Communication Management and via Porsche Digital Key. The driver can also close his door simply by fastening the seat belt or pressing the brake pedal. Dedicated sensors monitor the surrounding area and automatically stop movement in the presence of people or obstacles. The system still retains the possibility of operating the doors manually.
Porsche Wireless Charging up to 11 kW
The new Porsche Wireless Charging allows the Cayenne Electric to be charged without physically connecting a cable. The system uses a plate installed in the parking space and a second component integrated into the vehicle. By correctly positioning the vehicle on top of the base, charging starts automatically with a maximum power of 11 kW and a claimed efficiency of around 90 percent. The plate can also be installed outdoors and is equipped with safety systems that stop charging when they detect people, animals or metal objects in the affected area. All components of the system are now available to order in Italy and other European markets, with a progressive extension planned in other countries.
Massage and 4D audio
Personalisation also affects on-board comfort. The new massage function with 4D audio combines 16 air cushions and six sound actuators integrated into each of the front seats. Five massage programmes are available, with different levels of vibration intensity, which can be adjusted via the central screen. The 4D audio can also be used independently of the massage. The function is also integrated into the Mood modes, with three additional Wellness programmes combining pneumatic massage, vibrations and sound environment.
