Bacau

Bacau Airport, entitled to George Enescu, is situated in Bacau, in eastern Romania. It is also the headquarters of the 95th Air Base Romanian Air Force.
The airport was opened in 1946 as passenger and freight transport. With a long track 2,500 meters and a total area of ​​200 hectares, is the largest airport in the east of Romania and in 1975 was declared International.
 
In 2005 it was enlarged and modernized and the companies operating passed from one to three, then back to two. Since 2010 the management of the airport passed by the Provincial Council to the private company Blueaero Srl. The airport connects European cities, with low-cost carriers.
