Lagardère Travel Retail and UN: 170 climate actions at Geneva Airport
An interactive pop-up raises awareness of climate change, promoting sustainability and concrete actions
From 1 December 2023, Geneva Airport has been hosting an innovative initiative by Lagardère Travel Retail Switzerland and the United Nations Office in Geneva: a pop-up entitled "170 actions and beyond to combat climate change". The aim is to raise awareness among travellers of daily actions that can contribute to protecting the environment, fighting inequalities and promoting responsible consumption.
Located in the new East Wing, next to the eco-responsible Aelia Duty Free store, the pop-up will be accessible for six months. The space offers an interactive experience, inviting visitors to come up with innovative ideas to tackle climate change.
The initiative is part of the UN's Perception Change project, which aims to raise public awareness of the urgency of adopting sustainable and responsible practices.
Lagardère Travel Retail, through its corporate social responsibility program PEPS, continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to reducing environmental impact and working with strategic partners to achieve ambitious goals in the area of sustainability.
This initiative represents an important step forward in the involvement of travelers on crucial issues for the future of the planet, offering an example of how the synergy between companies and institutions can generate positive and lasting change.
