Bergamo-Schilpario 2025 World Championship

At the end of August, the preparation of the athletes for the 2024/2025 winter season comes to life, with the youth teams of the national team engaged in a series of rallies to perfect their physical and technical condition in view of the crucial commitments of the coming months. Among these, the Junior&Under23 Cross-Country Skiing World Championship stands out, one of the most awaited and coveted events by cross-country skiers, which will be held from 3 to 9 February 2025 on the snow of the Pista degli Abeti in Schilpario (BG).

 

 

The JWSC Bergamo-Schilpario 2025 will bring the town of Schilpario and the entire province of Bergamo into the international spotlight, where the prestigious cross-country skiing world titles will be awarded, within the tracks of the famous "Abeti" track, currently undergoing major modernization works in preparation for this significant sporting event.

 

Interventions are underway at the Pista degli Abeti to prepare it for the World Championship. A section of the asphalt cycle path has already been completed, which will serve as a roller ski slope of about 1.5 km. The completion of the works is expected by the end of October.

 

Renato Pasini, former world gold champion in Sapporo 2007 and current coach in charge of the Milano Cortina 2026 women's team, specifies: "our team includes many interesting elements including Iris De Martin Pinter, Maria Gismondi and Nadine Laurent: three top athletes who fall within the age group of the World Championship and who will almost certainly participate in the world championship in Schilpario".

 

 

Currently, Pasini and his staff are engaged in a training camp in Anterselva, one of the many pieces necessary to be ready for the start of the season and face it in the best possible way. At the same time, the Junior national team is meeting in Moena, under the guidance of Fabio Pasini, Renato's brother, flanked by Matteo Betta and Stefano Corradini. The conditions to achieve good results in the Junior&Under23 World Championship in Bergamo-Schilpario 2025 are all there for the Italian colors. 

 

The appointment to experience the endless emotions of the Junior&Under23 Cross-Country Skiing World Championship in Bergamo-Schilpario is from 3 to 9 February 2025.
