Malpensa, ceremony at Terminal 1 for the naming of Silvio Berlusconi
The ceremony for the naming of the airport after Silvio Berlusconi took place today, 25 September 2026, at Terminal 1 of Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP).
The institutional event was attended, among others, by the President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani and the President of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana.
Also present were the ENAC Extraordinary Commissioner Carlo Mearelli, the President of SEA Milan Airports Micaela Castelli and Paolo Berlusconi.
The ceremony publicly sanctioned the naming of the airport, already formalized previously, with the name dedicated to the former Prime Minister.
