Etihad Airways doubles flights between Milan and Abu Dhabi
New schedules and more frequencies to promote tourism and global connections
Etihad airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced an increase in daily flights from Milan Malpensa to Abu Dhabi, increasing to two flights a day starting in December. This enhancement, which brings the weekly frequencies to 14, includes scheduled departures in the morning and evening, offering passengers greater flexibility and improved connections.
Andrea Tucci, vice president aviation business development of Sea Aeroporti di Milano, expressed satisfaction with the increase in frequencies, underlining how this expansion contributes to improving travel opportunities to Abu Dhabi and beyond, thanks to the numerous connections offered by the carrier.
Arik De, chief revenue and commercial officer of Etihad Airways, highlighted the importance of the Italian market for the airline, saying: "We are delighted to offer twice as many connections from Milan and Rome. This reinforces our commitment to providing options and flexibility to our passengers, allowing them to make the most of their stay in Abu Dhabi with optimized departure times."
Abu Dhabi continues to consolidate as a global hub thanks to the expansion of Etihad's service, which offers seamless connections to key destinations around the world. etihad's free stopover programme, which includes up to two free nights in first-class hotels, allows travellers to transform their stopovers into memorable stays, further contributing to strengthening the city's connectivity.
