Closure of Naples airport for works from 19 January 2026
Naples International Airport will be closed to air traffic from 19 January to 1 March 2026 for major runway redevelopment works, in line with the 2023-2026 four-year plan of interventions.
The suspension of operations will last 42 days, a period strategically chosen in correspondence with the low traffic season to minimize the impact on passengers and airlines.
The works, scheduled according to the aeronautical regulations in force, are part of the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities necessary to ensure the highest standards of operational safety.
All the airlines involved have already been informed and will reorganize their schedule according to commercial strategies.
In a logic of regional airport system, the Salerno-Costa d'Amalfi airport will be able to accommodate part of the traffic usually managed by the Neapolitan airport, in accordance with the capacity limits defined by ENAC and based on slot requests.
