The winners of the Volotea Travel Photo Awards

In the Professional category, the Italian Rachele Cason was awarded with the photograph taken in Santorini; for the Amateur category, the French Clarisse Dupuis wins with a photo taken in Lanzarote

The second edition of the Volotea Travel Photo Awards, the international photo competition promoted by Volotea to celebrate travel and the emotions of its destinations through photography, has come to an end. The initiative was a great success, with over 8,000 images sent, of which more than 2,000 from Italian destinations with Venice, Naples, Florence, Rome and Olbia among the most portrayed subjects in the shots received from all over Europe.

After a careful selection, the jury of experts announced the winners of the two categories in the competition: Professionals and Amateurs.

In the Professional category, the first prize was awarded to the Italian Rachele Cason for the photograph "In the silence of sunset", taken in Santorini. The shot captures a moment of quiet and contemplation: a man who, after ringing the bells, stops to observe the landscape, immersed in an atmosphere suspended between light and silence. Rachele Cason wins a year of free flights with Volotea, a three-night stay in a destination in the network and a Fujifilm professional camera.
