Riyadh joins the Milan Bergamo Airport network

The new direct flight operated by flyadeal strengthens the international connections of the Bergamo airport

From 2 July 2026, flyadeal, the low-cost airline of the Saudia Group, will inaugurate the route between Bergamo and Riyadh, the capital of the Saudi Kingdom, with seasonal flights operating until 26 September 2026.

The new Bergamo-Riyadh flight represents an important novelty for passengers departing from Lombardy, who will be able to directly reach one of the most strategic and transforming cities in the Middle East. The route will be operated with three weekly frequencies between Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY) and Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport (RUH)

The flights are already on sale on the flyadeal website, where the Bergamo-Riyadh route appears among the connections available to the Saudi capital. The company offers domestic and international flights with a low-cost model, designed to offer competitive fares and services that can be purchased according to the needs of the traveler.

For Milan Bergamo Airport, the new connection strengthens the airport's role as an international gateway for travellers from Northern Italy, expanding the offer to a fast-growing destination. Riyadh is now at the center of a major tourist, cultural and economic development, supported by new urban projects, international events, museums, historic neighborhoods and iconic Saudi heritage sites.

The capital of Saudi Arabia combines modernity and tradition: from the skyscrapers of the financial center to the souks, from museums to historical sites, up to experiences in the desert. Among the most famous attractions are Diriyah, a historical area linked to the origins of the Saudi state, the National Museum, the Kingdom Centre Sky Bridge and the Edge of the World, one of the most scenic natural destinations in the surroundings of the city.

The direct connection from Bergamo will be of interest to both leisure passengers, attracted by a destination increasingly present in international tourist circuits, and business travellers, thanks to Riyadh's role as the economic and institutional centre of the country. The route is also part of a context of strong expansion of Saudi aviation, with flyadeal committed to strengthening its fleet and international network.
