New direct route between Milan Malpensa and Atyrau

Neos airline doubles flights to Kazakhstan with new route added to Milan-Almaty connection

Neos, Alpitour World's airline, announces the opening of a new direct route between Milan Malpensa and Atyrau, cities in the Caspian Sea area and one of Kazakhstan's main industrial and energy hubs.

The connection is operational from 17 November 2025 until July 2026, with the aim of fostering business relations between the two countries.

The flight is operated by Boeing 737-8 MAX and departs from Milan (Malpensa) every Monday at 20:00, arriving in Atyrau on Tuesdays at 5:20 (local time). The return is scheduled every Friday at 12:15, arriving at Malpensa at 14:00.

From March 2026, a second frequency will be added with a stopover in Almaty, departing on Thursdays at 18:00 and arriving on Fridays at 9:25 (local time); the return is scheduled for Friday, departing at 6:10 am and arriving at Malpensa at 2:05 pm.

The new section joins the Milan-Almaty connection introduced in 2022, confirming Neos' commitment to supporting the needs of companies and professionals active in the energy, engineering and industrial services sectors.

The initiative was also made possible thanks to the support of the Italian-Kazakh Trade Association (ACIK), whose commitment has fostered significant trade and collaborations between Italy and Kazakhstan. A decisive role was also played by the civil aviation authorities of both countries, whose collaboration made it possible to make the project a reality.

Founded in 2002, Neos has established itself as a reality of excellence in the civil aviation sector, offering both scheduled flights and special operations in collaboration with international partners. The company, which focuses on innovation, customer service and quality, is among the most dynamic in Europe. Currently, Neos' fleet includes 16 aircraft, including the latest generation B737, B737 MAX and B787-9 Dreamliner, with the addition expected by 2025 of three new B737-8 MAXs, for a total of 19 state-of-the-art aircraft.
