Turkish Airlines integrates Google Find Hub for baggage retrieval
Turkish Airlines strengthens its digital innovation journey thanks to a new collaboration with Google. The company is among the launch partners of the "share object location" feature of Google Find Hub, officially integrating location links into the process of managing and retrieving lost or delayed luggage.
The initiative aims to make the management of cases of baggage misunderstandings faster and more efficient, improving the passenger experience throughout the entire journey, from departure to arrival.
How Location Sharing Works
Travellers using a Find Hub-compatible location tag or accessory attached to their baggage can generate a secure link directly from the Google Find Hub app.
The procedure is simple:
- open the Find Hub app,
- select the lost item,
- tap "Share Object Location",
- generate a unique and secure URL.
The link can be provided to Turkish Airlines staff, who will view the location of your baggage with real-time updates, facilitating search and return operations.
Total passenger safety and control
Location sharing is done in full respect of privacy. Passengers retain complete control:
- sharing can be stopped at any time from the app,
- links automatically expire after seven days,
- the system is deactivated when the object returns to the owner's possession,
- Location data is encrypted.
These safeguards ensure transparent and secure information management.
