SPU Airport


Split airport is located in Croatia, near the town of Castelli, 20 km north-west from the center of Split and 6 km from Trogir. It is one of the main airports in Croatia, along with those of Zagreb and Dubrovnik.
Split airport was opened to traffic in 1966. Located in the center of the Central Dalmatia region, it offers air connections from Makarska to Sibenik and from the islands of Brac, Hvar, Korcula to other islands. It is also connected to the main European cities.
In 2004, the passenger terminal was extended and in 2009 work began on expanding the yard.

Transport to/from the airport
Transfer of passengers from Split to the airport, and vice versa, is organised by Pleso Prijevoz. Information: www.plesoprijevoz.hr
For the Public Transport, close to Split Airport there is a bus stop of lines No. 37 (Split - Trogir; Trogir - Split) and No. 38 (Split Airport - Kastel Stari - Split; Split - Kastel Stari - Split Airport). Information: www.promet-split.hr

To/from Split and to/from airport: drive the Ivana Pavla II for about 20 Km and in 30 minutes.

Passengers from the islands may come to Split or Trogir by ferries or taxi boats, and than go to the airport.
