Swiss and Breitling launch the new Navitimer dedicated to the Airbus A350
Swiss International Air Lines and Breitling strengthen their collaboration with a new creation designed for those who also experience travel as a style experience. To accompany the arrival and entry into service of the new Airbus A350, the two Swiss companies are launching the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 46 SWISS Limited Edition, a limited series of just 350 pieces for passengers on SWISS long-haul flights.
From 1 December, the watch will be available exclusively on board the company's intercontinental connections and can be pre-ordered online via the Duty Free service on swiss.com. The positioning is admittedly premium: the price is set at 8,350 Swiss francs (excluding VAT) or 2,338,000 Miles & More miles, confirming its role as a collector's item for watchmaking travellers.
The Navitimer has been one of Breitling's aviation symbols for over seventy years. In this new edition dedicated to SWISS, it takes on important proportions, with a 46-millimeter case, the largest ever developed so far as part of the partnership between the two companies. The dial echoes the colour palette of the new "SWISS Senses" cabin concept, combining deep black, warm shades of brown and beige and burgundy accents. The result is an elegant and contemporary aesthetic, designed to dialogue with the interior design of the future Airbus A350.
The references to the world of flight are distributed in a discreet but recognizable way: the counterweight of the second hand echoes the silhouette of an aircraft, while the sapphire crystal caseback is inspired by the shape of the A350 engines. The SWISS logo is engraved on the back together with an indication of belonging to the limited series, a detail that underlines its exclusive character. To complete the experience, each piece is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the SWISS commander of the flight on which the watch is purchased, transforming the moment of purchase into a personal souvenir linked to the journey.
Another central element of the partnership concerns sustainability. Since 2022, Breitling has been purchasing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to cover all of its employees' business trips on SWISS flights, positioning itself as the airline's first corporate customer to fully adopt this solution. In this way, it reduces the environmental impact of its movements and contributes to the spread of more responsible practices in air transport.
