Qatar Airways restores new daily connections
Qatar Airways continues the gradual restoration of its international network by announcing the return of additional daily flights from Doha to key destinations in the Middle East and Asia. As of May 1, 2026, the airline will resume daily flights to Bahrain (BAH) and Kozhikode (CCJ).
This reactivation is in addition to the already confirmed connections to Dubai (DXB Airport) and Sharjah (SHJ Airport), resuming from 23 April 2026, and to Damascus (DAM), also scheduled from 1 May 2026. For passengers, the return of these flights means greater travel flexibility and wider connectivity through the Doha (DOH) hub, with easy access to Qatar Airways' network across six continents.
The restoration plan is part of the company's broader strategy, which in mid-April had already announced the expansion of its schedule starting June 16, 2026, with the aim of serving over 150 destinations worldwide from Doha.
For those with a ticket issued before April 30, 2026 and a travel date between February 28 and September 15, 2026, there are conditions of greater flexibility. Passengers can request a free date change by 31 October 2026 on flights operated by Qatar Airways, subject to availability and fare seasonality. It is also possible to obtain a refund of the unused part of the air ticket, according to the normal fare rules; The company reports that it can take up to 28 business days for your refund to be processed.
In the event that the flight changes, passengers will be entitled to even more favorable conditions: they will be able to make additional free changes until October 31, 2026, keeping the same cabin originally booked, regardless of the seasonality of fares, or request a refund of the value of the unused ticket without penalty. Again, processing times can be up to 28 business days.
Qatar Airway specifies that flight schedules remain subject to change or cancellation due to operational, regulatory, safety or other circumstances beyond its control. It also invites passengers to regularly check the company's official website or app and to check that their contact details are correct and up-to-date, so as to receive any communications about the flight in a timely manner.
