New Finnair cabin for long-haul flights from Helsinki
Introduced on the A350 and A330 fleet on the carrier's long-haul routes between the Helsinki hub and the United States, the Middle East and Asia
Finnair, the airline of Finland, with an investment of 200 million euros, has successfully completed the renovation of the cabins of long-haul flights, now available on all aircraft intended for long-haul flights. The project involved the creation of a completely new Business Class, a brand new Premium Economy cabin and a renewed Economy Class, to offer customers an unprecedented travel experience.

The innovative cabin was first launched in 2022 and, within two years, was introduced to the airline's entire fleet of long-haul A350s and A330s. Customers can now enjoy Finnair's experience on all the carrier's long-haul routes between the Helsinki hub and the United States, the Middle East and Asia.
This new long-haul flight experience has been named "Cabin Concept of the Year" by Onboard Hospitality, "Best Cabin Innovation" by APEX and "Best Cabin (First & Business Class)" at the Yacht and Aviation Awards. Finnair's product has also been praised by the judges of the Crystal Cabin Awards and Skytrax, a global benchmark for airline excellence. Finnair was the launch company of the brand new concept of Business Class seats, developed in close collaboration with Collins Aerospace.

Designed to maximize space, the unique shell seat allows passengers to vary their seating and sleeping positions, allowing them to relax and better manage their space during long-haul flights.
The cabin was inspired by Finnair's Nordic design with a warm, dark and comforting colour scheme, following the palette and design of the airline's non-Schengen lounges, which were unveiled at Helsinki Airport before the pandemic.

In the coming months, Finnair will continue to invest in its customer experience and fleet, announcing the upcoming renewal of the cabins of its E190 regional aircraft. These short-haul jets, which operate flights to Finnair's most popular Nordic destinations, will be equipped with a new cabin, inspired by the colours and design now found in the carrier's long-haul fleet. It will also soon open a new, larger lounge in the Schengen area at its main hub, Helsinki Airport, for its Business Class customers and Finnair Plus members. Lounge access is available to all Finnair customers as a travel extra.
