New connection between Catania and Zanzibar operated by Neos

SAC, the management company of Catania and Comiso airports, and Neos, Alpitour World airline, have inaugurated the new direct flight between Catania and Zanzibar. The summer route, which started on July 4, will operate every two weeks until October.

The flight allows passengers from Catania and eastern Sicily to reach one of the most popular destinations in the Indian Ocean without stopping, ideal for seaside stays, nature trips and itineraries that combine the sea of Zanzibar with safaris in Tanzania.

The connection is operated with Boeing 787-9 configured with 28 seats in Premium and 327 in Economy, for a total of 355 passengers. Individual entertainment and Wi-Fi are available on board.

The new route strengthens the collaboration between Catania Fontanarossa airport and Neos and expands the offer of medium and long-haul flights. From the Etna airport, Neos already connects leisure destinations such as Cuba, Egypt, Kenya, Madagascar, Maldives, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Spain.
