Emirates lands in Hangzhou
Emirates is strengthening its presence in mainland China with the official launch of its new daily flight to Hangzhou from Dubai, making it the airline's fifth destination in the country, less than a month after the opening of the Shenzhen route.
The inaugural flight EK310 landed on July 30 at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, where it was greeted by the ceremonial with a water jet, commemorative tributes for passengers and the participation of local authorities and airport representatives. Travelers arriving from Dubai were offered personalized keychains, souvenir certificates and Chinese tea sets, in homage to the local culture.
Operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, the new route departs Dubai at 09:40 and arrives in Hangzhou at 22:00. The return flight, EK311, takes off from Hangzhou at 00:10 and lands in Dubai at 04:55.
The timetable guarantees efficient connections via Dubai with other destinations: over 40 in Europe, 21 in Africa, 13 in the Middle East, as well as markets in the Americas such as Brazil and Argentina.
Hangzhou thus becomes a new gateway to China for passengers departing from strategic cities such as Istanbul, Cairo, Barcelona or Johannesburg, who can now benefit from convenient flights via Dubai.
