Emirates extends Premium Economy to Milan

From 10 May, daily flight EK101/102 to Malpensa will be operated by a three-class upgraded Boeing 777-200LR, equipped with Premium Economy

Emirates is updating its fleet and integrating services across its network, extending its Premium Economy offering and enhancing the passenger travel experience.


From 10 May, daily flight EK101/102 to Milan will be operated by a three-class upgraded Boeing 777-200LR , equipped with Premium Economy. All flights to and from Milan (21 weekly to Dubai and 7 to New York) will offer Premium Economy.


Flight EK101 will depart Dubai for Milan at 4:20 am, arriving at 8:20 am. The return, EK102, will depart Milan at 10:25 am and arrive in Dubai at 7:20 pm (all times are local).


By mid-April, it will also complete the upgrade of its first A380 from two to three classes, with 76 seats in Business Class, 56 in Premium Economy and 437 in Economy Class.


The first refurbished aircraft will operate flights EK903/904 between Dubai and Amman from 14 April to 31 May, before moving to Prague on flights EK139/140 from 1 June. By November, it expects to complete the retrofit program of all 15 of its two-class A380s in the new three-class configuration.

 

More fleet updates from March
The following additional fleet upgrades are planned from March for several destinations (aircraft assignment may be brought forward if the renovation is completed earlier than planned):


Europe and North America

  • New York (JFK): from 2 March, flights EK201/202 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, operated by a modernised four-class A380, with daily service increasing from 1 June.
  • Zurich: From 1 March, flights EK085/086 with a four-class A380 equipped with Premium Economy. More than 1,500 weekly Premium Economy seats to and from Zurich.
  • Milan: from 10 May, flights EK101/102 operated by a Boeing 777-200LR upgraded to three classes, equipped with Premium Economy.
  • Dublin: from 25 October, flights EK165/166 operated by a three-class upgraded Boeing 777-200LR. All 21 weekly flights to Dublin will offer Premium Economy.

 

Asia

  • Ho Chi Minh City: from 1 May, flights EK392/393 operated with a Boeing 777-200LR upgraded to three classes. Over 600 weekly Premium Economy seats to and from Ho Chi Minh City on two daily flights.
  • Hong Kong: From 1 October, flights EK382/383 upgraded from a Boeing 777-300ER to an A380, with a transition to a modernised A380 equipped with Premium Economy from 1 December.
  • Guangzhou: From 1 October, EK362/363 flights upgraded from a Boeing 777-300ER to an A380.
     

Africa

  • Entebbe: from 29 March, flights EK729/730 operated with the new A350.
     

Middle East

  • Basra: From 1 May, flights EK945/946 will be operated by a four-class upgraded Boeing 777-300ER, offering Premium Economy on all five weekly flights to Basra.
     

Indian Ocean

  • Mauritius: from 29 March, EK709/710 flights operated by a three-class upgraded Boeing 777-200LR.
