Christmas with Emirates: special services for an unforgettable trip
In December, Emirates transforms the travel experience into a true Christmas celebration, offering dedicated services from the moment you set out. The airline expects more than 2.3 million departures and 2.5 million arrivals on holiday weekends, accompanied by special initiatives that include seasonal menus, traditional desserts and themed entertainment.
Christmas flavours in flight
From 17 to 26 December, all travel classes will be able to enjoy classic hot chocolate, while from 24 to 26 December, passengers departing from Dubai will receive selected sweets:
- Economy Class: Dark Chocolate Truffles
- Premium Economy and Business Class: Gingerbread cookies
- First Class: Paris-Brest with raspberries.
Festive offerings include fine appetizers such as salmon gravadlax, marinated herring or smoked salmon with crab mayonnaise, followed by main dishes that combine tradition and creativity: turkey with chestnuts and turkey bacon, lamb shank with herbs, glazed duck confit and seared venison.
In Economy Class, the menu includes roast turkey with chestnut roulade and desserts such as orange fruit cake or Christmas-themed mini mousse.
On board the A380, the lounge offers specialities such as stollen, panettone, festive macarons, mini-biscuits and a snack dedicated to the holidays: a rich Christmas sandwich. There is no shortage of seasonal accessories to take photos in perfect travel spirit.
Festive atmosphere in lounges in Dubai and around the world
From 15 to 31 December, the First and Business Class lounges in Dubai will become dedicated spaces for winter dining. Among the proposals: roast turkey with chestnuts, Brussels sprouts and new potatoes, accompanied by special cocktails such as Cognac Crème Panettone. The Champagne selection includes Moët & Chandon Ice, Grand Vintage 2016, Imperial Brut and Rosé Imperial, served with elegant canapés. Desserts include stollen, mince pies, apple pie, and Galaxy hot chocolate.
In Emirates lounges in Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and the United States, Christmas menus are served according to local culinary traditions.
In Italy, Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa
- Roma (FCO): duck speck with honey, roasted porcini mushrooms with mascarpone, turkey roulade with apples and cinnamon, panettone with Chantilly cream.
- Milan (MXP): roast beef en croûte, artichoke soufflé with Gorgonzola fondue, glazed Borettane onions and struffoli.
Labels of excellence for the holidays
In First Class, Emirates offers wines of the finest selection, including Dom Pérignon Plénitude 2 2006, Montrachet Grand Cru 2013 – Bouchard & Fils and Château Montrose 2005.
Business Class features labels such as Beaune du Chateau 1er Cru 2020 and Two Hands Bella's Garden Shiraz 2021, while in Premium Economy passengers will be able to taste Tenuta Luce Lucente 2021 or the Chandon Vintage Brut 2018 sparkling wine, available only on Emirates.
Orthodox Christmas Specialties
From December 24 to January 8, on flights to and from Russia, Cyprus, Ethiopia and Dubai, menus include Olivier salad, marinated herring, lobster tail and duck confit, with desserts such as white chocolate and mint mousse or gingerbread cake. In Economy Class , dishes such as grilled chicken with chestnut roulade or beef stroganoff are served.
Christmas entertainment on ice
The ice system offers 39 themed films, including Dear Santa, Elf, The Holiday and The Polar Express, as well as 42 TV shows and music collections dedicated to Christmas, with songs by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Elvis Presley and Sam Smith.
