British Airways revamps passenger app

Check-in, boarding passes, flight updates from Heathrow and Gatwick, Terminal 5 maps and more digital services to manage your journey

British Airways is rolling out a new mobile app designed to make it easier to manage your journey, from booking and check-in to boarding pass access.

The app features revamped graphics and more intuitive navigation. Digital boarding passes remain available offline and can be saved in the wallets of Apple and Android devices.

For flights departing from London (Heathrow and Gatwick airports) there are real-time operational updates, push notifications and a screen dedicated to the day of travel with the most useful information for the passenger.

New features include passport scanning, biometric profile access , more self-service options and, for those transiting through Heathrow Terminal 5, interactive maps and lounge attendance directions.

British Airways Club members can also check Avios, Tier Points, status and vouchers, update personal details and store passport and travel companion information.

Future developments include real-time baggage tracking, redemption of flight awards and vouchers, and additional personalized features.
