Air Transat expands flights from Italy to Canada

More direct connections from Rome, Venice and Lamezia to Toronto and Montreal, with new connections to Vancouver and Calgary thanks to the partnership with Porter Airlines

Air Transat strengthens its flight offer between Italy and Canada for the 2026 summer season, increasing frequencies on the main direct routes and expanding travel possibilities to Western Canada.

From Rome Fiumicino, the connection to Toronto will gradually increase to become daily from 23 July, while the route to Montreal has already been operated with one flight a day from 19 June. Both connections will remain available until October 24, 2026.

The North East also benefits from greater connectivity: Venice is connected to Toronto with three weekly flights from 8 June to 12 September. From Southern Italy, on the other hand, Lamezia Terme confirms the direct connection with Toronto, the only non-stop flight between Calabria and Canada, operating until 15 October.

Among the main innovations for passengers is the possibility of continuing the journey to Western Canada. Thanks to the codeshare agreement with Porter Airlines, those departing from Rome, Venice or Lamezia can reach Vancouver and Calgary with a single ticket, checking in their baggage directly to their final destination and with a connection via Toronto or Montreal.

Intercontinental flights are operated with Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 aircraft, configured in Economy and Club Class. For those travelling in Economy, all fares always include hand luggage and meals on board, offering a complete travel experience already in the ticket price.
