Air France launches Paris Stopover
Air France and Extime Travel are launching Paris Stopover, the new service that allows passengers in transit at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport to extend their stopover and visit Paris, Disneyland Paris and the region's main attractions. The offer is available for stays of one to four nights and may include hotels, transfers and tourist activities.
The service is aimed at Air France customers who book an itinerary with a connecting flight at Paris-CDG. When purchasing the ticket on the company's website, Travellers can choose the stopover option on both the outward and return journeys, turning the transit into a real stage of the journey.
How Paris Stopover works
After selecting an Air France ticket with a stopover option, the passenger can book one of the available packages through Extime Travel, choosing the length of stay, the hotel and the activities best suited to the time available.
Packages may include:
- transfers between the airport, hotel and attractions;
- stays of one or more nights;
- four or five-star hotels;
- accommodation in the center of Paris or near Disneyland Paris;
- Customizable sightseeing tours and activities.
How long should the stopover last
Paris Stopover is available to passengers with a minimum transit time of 27 hours. The stay can last from one to four nights, depending on the itinerary chosen and the availability of services.
The package can be booked with Extime Travel up to 48 hours before departure and is accessible to Air France customers of all travel classes: Economy, Premium, Business and La Première.
Before leaving the airport, passengers must check that they have the necessary travel documents and any visas required to enter France.
What to see during a stopover in Paris
Among the first proposals available is the Paris Must-See package, dedicated to those who want to visit the most famous attractions of the French capital, such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum.
The Disneyland Paris package, on the other hand, is designed especially for families and allows you to spend part of the stopover in the theme park located east of the capital.
The offer will be progressively expanded with cultural, gastronomic, evening and premium experiences, as well as excursions to locations near Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.
Air France's stopover
Around 50% of Air France passengers arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle continue their journey on another flight. Paris Stopover therefore allows the company to enhance the time spent between two connections, offering international Travellers the opportunity to add a destination to their itinerary. According to a study published in April 2026 by the Pégase Chair, 81% of passengers connecting in Paris would be interested in leaving the airport to visit the capital or attractions near Charles de Gaulle. Interest reaches 92.3% among Brazilian passengers and 90% among Indian passengers, two strategic markets for the long-haul connections of the Paris hub.
A new service for the Paris-CDG hub
Air France's Paris Stopover is part of the Connect France partnership, signed in June 2025 by Air France-KLM and Groupe ADP to strengthen the international role of the Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub and promote France as a tourist destination. With this initiative, the Parisian airport aims to stand out among the main European hubs, offering connecting passengers an organized tourist experience integrated directly into the air journey.
